Socialight SMS program

How people come to receive a text from +1 (855) 259-4391, and how they stop it. Socialight, LLC · socialight.app · support@socialight.app

Socialight is a mobile app for spontaneous plans. A user writes a short invitation ("Who wants to grab tacos tonight?") and sends it to people they choose one by one from their own phone contacts. Recipients who have the app get a push notification; recipients who do not have the app receive one SMS carrying that invitation. There is no marketing, no bulk sending and no purchased lists: every text exists because a specific person who already has the recipient's number invited them to something.

What the text says

Invitation from +1 415 555 0199 via Socialight:
"Who wants to grab tacos at Loco's tonight? Table at 7:30"
Say "Let's go" or see details: https://socialight.app/i/k7Qz9m
Reply STOP to opt out.

Every message names the sender by phone number, quotes the invitation, links only to socialight.app, and ends with the opt-out instruction. The sender's own number is shown so the recipient can recognise who invited them and reply to them directly.

Opt-out and help

Frequency and volume

A recipient is texted only when someone who already has their number sends them an invitation; the same sender can reach the same number at most 3 times per 7 days, and a number can receive at most 10 Socialight texts per day. Opted-out numbers are excluded before any message is queued. Message and data rates may apply.
